Zero-cloud telemetry
Nion devices do not send usage telemetry to any cloud server by default. Voice processing happens entirely on-device; raw audio is never uploaded.
Localized hardware data
Structured logs (such as health JSON records) are stored encrypted on the device and only shared over the mesh with nodes you or your organization explicitly authorize.
Mesh sync
When LoRa mesh sync is enabled, payloads are end-to-end encrypted. Relay nodes forward data without the ability to read it.
Dataset contributors
Contributors to our dialect datasets record voluntarily. Samples are anonymized on-device before transmission and contributors may withdraw their recordings at any time.
Early-access waitlist
If you request early access, we collect your email, optional name, role, continent and the fact and time of your consent. Supabase stores Nion's waitlist record. We also share your email address with Clerk to add you to Nion's Clerk waitlist and request an email confirmation; if your request is approved, Clerk may send an invitation to create a Nion account. The website does not expose waitlist records publicly. Only verified, allowlisted Nion administrators can review or manage them. We do not sell personal data.
